Vandals Hit Historic Manor House, Newtown Police Say

The Newtown Township Police are looking for two vandals who damaged a historic property.

Built in 1765, before the revolutionary war, the Manor House at the Newtown Crossing development is a historic community landmark. These days, it serves as a venue for parties, wedding receptions, and meetings.

At about 6:30 p.m. Thursday night, a person nearby the home heard the sounds of glass breaking.

They investigated before contacting authorities, and found two juvenile girls smashing the building’s windows. The witness also managed to snap photos of the suspects and their bikes.

Officers responded to the scene at about 7:00 p.m. Anyone with info can submit a tip to the Newtown Township Police.
