A section of Swamp Road west of Newtown will continue to have lane closures from now until Tuesday as crews continue to mill and pave the roadway. Workers will conduct flagging operations so traffic can move safely around the roadwork.
The work has been ongoing since Monday, July 23, on the road between Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) and Route 413 (Newtown Bypass).
The resurfacing is weather dependent, and last weeks rain may extend the project. Lane closures will be between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on days repaving occurs.
Motorists should factor in extra time for their drives as delays are expected.
