St. Michael the Archangel will combine an open house and their Junior Flower Show expo Thursday, Feb. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m.
In honor of Catholic Schools Week, St. Michael will provide information on their Preschool to 8th-grade programs. The student council will be giving tours of the school located at 130 Levittown Parkway.
Principal Steve DiCicco said, registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be available at the event. He also mentioned a unique opportunity, the Bishops’ Tuition Transfer Grant Program, for those who want to attend St. Michael.
“Only 20 schools in the archdiocese were picked for this,” DiCicco explained. “It’s an awesome grant and a great opportunity to try out Catholic education.”
Any student grades 2 to 7 from a public, charter, or non-Catholic school who transfers to St. Michael will receive a tuition grant discount of $1,000 the first year, $500 the second year, and $250 the third year. Dicicco said all students receive a free breakfast and lunch, a wide range of activities, and about 30 different language class options beginning in 5th grade.
Thursday’s open house will allow those interested to view the school during Catholic Schoool Week 2018 – “Catholic School: Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed.” As well as St. Michael’s take on the Flower Show coming to Philadelphia in March.
“Three of the winners from that (the Junior Flower Show) will be in the regular Philadelphia Flower Show that’s coming up,” DiCicco said.
