With St. Patrick’s Day Wednesday, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office is telling people to stay safe while having fun.

“It takes more than the luck of the Irish to get home safely after celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends,” said DA Matt Weintraub. “If you do celebrate, please do so responsibly. Get home alive, don’t drink or do drugs and drive.”

As in past years, local law enforcement is watching out for impaired drivers. Police departments throughout Bucks are adding extra officers for roving DUI patrols.

The Lower Southampton, Newtown Township, and Falls Township Police are just a few of the departments in Lower Bucks that will have extra officers on duty.

The Falls Police added there will be checkpoints and people should watch their “shenanigans.”
