Motorists taking highways in Lower Bucks including U.S. 1 and I-95 will encounter lane and ramp closures this week.

PennDOT crews will be conducting daytime guide rail repairs along I-95 in Bristol and Bensalem Townships. They will close lanes 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. betweeen Monday, Aug 17 and Friday, Aug 21.

Between the Route 413 and Academy Road interchanges, the left lane will be closed in both directions. Then between the Route 413 and Street Road, the right lane will be closed.

In Bensalem Township, crews will continue work on the U.S. 1, Street Road, and PA Turnpike interchange. This includes nighttime and daytime projects.

PennDOT released the following work schedule for this week:

  • Monday and Tuesday, August 17-18, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, the northbound U.S. 1 ramps to and from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Toll Plaza at the Bensalem Interchange will be closed and detoured for overhead bridge beam placement and deck construction;
  • Sunday, August 16, through Saturday, August 22, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday, August 16, through Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, single lane closures will be in place on northbound or southbound U.S. 1 between Rockhill Drive and Old Lincoln Highway; and
  • Sunday, August 16, through Saturday, August 22, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday, August 16, through Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, single lane closures will be in place on eastbound or westbound Street Road (Route 132) between Old Lincoln Highway and Kingston Way

The slip ramp from Horizon Boulevard to the PA Turnpike interchange also remains closed for construction.
