Playwicki Farm is calling on residents to help raise money for the historic piece of Lower Southampton Township that stretches more than 100 acres. The Dolphin Swim Club, located on Bristol Road, will host a full day event for the Playwicki Farm Foundation.
‘A Splash for Playwicki’ will run from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 10 and will have activities for all ages.
Rose McMenamin, vice president of the Foundation, is planning the “wonderful day for families and individuals to come out and enjoy in a beautiful bucolic setting.”
McMenamin explained in a press release the Foundation is responsible for the care, maintenance, operations and programming for the farm located on Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville. This event will support any improvements the farm needs.
The Dolphin Swim Club’s pools will be open for swimming. There will be raffle baskets, a 50/50 chance and games all afternoon long. Entertainment will not end there for the Playwicki event.
A Jumbotron screen will feature the 1 p.m. Philadelphia Eagles verse Washington Redskins game and the ‘Kirko‘ band will perform at 4:30 p.m.
A pop-up beer and wine garden will be available for adults only, there will be no children permitted in that area. For a food treat, the ‘Taste of Playwicki’ will show case some of the finest area restaurants from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Sponsors that helped raise funds include the Lower Southampton Township, Wheelabrator Technologies, The Lower Southampton Industrial Development Authority, Ukrainian Selfreliance Federal Credit Union, The Rotary Club of Feasterville and Gamin Ride featuring Jumbotron.
Tickets for the event can be purchased through the mail or on the Playwicki Farm website. Prices are as followed: full day passes $40 per family (two adults, three children), plus $20 per person (adults only) with the added Taste of Playwicki food options. The Taste of Playwicki pass with beer and wine garden is $40 per person (two for $75).
