Elected officials are assembling for a worthy cause.

The President of the Pennsbury School Board, Jacqueline Redner, is welcoming local elected officials for a special press conference.

The conference will consider major initiatives in the Pennsbury community for the ongoing battle against the opioid epidemic.

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, PA Representative Perry Warren, and PA Representative John Galloway will be in attendance.

Fitzpatrick has been adamant about addressing and solving the opioid crisis from day one.

“Opioid addiction is nothing short of an epidemic,” Fitzpatrick said.

“My staff and I are entirely committed to support Pennsylvania and local municipalities in their efforts to address this crisis.”

Representative Perry Warren had similar sentiments.

“Our communities, and the Pennsbury School District in particular, have been deeply affected by the proliferation of opioid and other generous and too-often-fatal substances,” explained Warren.

A representative from the Bucks County District Attorney’s office will also be present for the press conference.

The conference will occur Wednesday, August 23rd, at 6:00 p.m., inside the Pennnsbury School District Administration Building.
