Pennsbury High School has a new Assistant Principal.
The School Board appointed Ms. Corinne Lyczkowski to the position at Thursday night’s meeting. She will formally assume her new role on February 2, 2021 to start the second semester.
Lyczkowski previously held the position of Acting Assistant Principal in the spring semester of 2019. At the time, Principal Lisa Becker was taking a sabbatical leave. As a result, several administrative positions shifted temporarily to cover her absence.
Becker congratulated Lyczkowski Thursday night
“On behalf of the entire high school administration, I am happy to welcome Ms. Lyczkowski to our team,” said Lisa Becker, Principal at Pennsbury High School West. “Her experienced skill set and warm personality are great assets, and her perspective as a Pennsbury educator will be beneficial as she carries out her new responsibilities.”
She will be filling an opening left by Dr. Cherrissa Gibson. Gibson is now the district’s first Director of Equity, Diversity, and Education.
While Gibson left the Assistant Principal role in July of last year, it remained vacant until now. Remote learning and a lack of athletics allowed for a “redistribution of some administrative work,” according to a statement.
