Beginning Monday, the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) will replace the gas main during the day on Old Lincoln Highway.

From August 28 through September 22 crews will work weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Old Lincoln Highway between Hulmeville Road and Brownsville Road in Middletown Township.

Travelers should plan extra time when driving near the work area. The scheduled activity is weather dependent.

PECO will be making utility improvements under a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Highway Occupancy Permit.  Act 89’s transportation plan, passed in 2013, created a 12-cent gas tax to partially fund the project.
