A Middletown Township man is facing several charges after medics revived him with Narcan and he became violent, police say.

Officers and medics with the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad responded to call of an overdose Sunday. Cody Todd, 28, was lying at the bottom of a staircase in the home on Woodbourne Road in Langhorne.

Emergency personnel resuscitated Todd with naloxone, but he allegedly began attacking them. Officers handcuffed the man, but police say he continued the melee even when restrained.

After a few minutes, police turned to using a Taser. This subdued Todd, but a stray Taser hit another officer.

Two officers ended up needing medical attention for injuries including a puncture wound.

Todd is currently being held in Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10% of $100,000 bail.
