There are only a few more weeks of summer, and Middletown Township is using the time to teach its residents the benefits of energy conservation in its third and last Citizen Summer School class this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Center.
Students of all ages will be taught easy ways to reduce energy consumption, how to lower electricity bills, and what a homeowner should know about solar energy.
Speakers from PECO, Villanova University, Remington & Vernick Engineers, and Home Depot will provide attendees with expert knowledge. Take-home information will also be given to anyone interested.
Light refreshments and babysitting will be available, with a free recycling bin for anyone who sees the course through to the end.
Attendance is completely free to Middletown’s residents.
The first course focused on informing senior citizens how to protect their internet privacy and make browsing the web as secure as possible.
The second course was open to citizens of any age and taught citizens how to live a sustainable life style.
