Middletown at the Mall is returning for its fourth year this Wednesday for families to meet who their children will be spending time with this summer.

Camp counselors, along with other Township members, have a chance to introduce themselves to parents and kids.

Program Supervisor Joanne Morelli with the Middletown Township Parks and Rec department knows this will be beneficial for both groups.

“It’s basically to calm the parents, let them know we’re here to take care of their kids, and make the kids comfortable with playing games with people they’ve never met before,” Morelli commented. “We just want them to have a good time and be comfortable with us.”

There will be plenty of fun games and activities for the kids including a parachute and cornhole. The police will also be there to meet families and give safety tips.

The event takes place Wednesday, June 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Oxford Valley Mall’s Sears Court.
