Lower Southampton Police Search For Trash Bag Covered “Cash-Squatch”

Video surveillance catches a sighting of the Cash-Squatch Friday morning.

The Lower Southampton Police have dubbed him the “Cash-Squatch.”

He’s reportedly a 5’8″ man wanted in connection with an unusual robbery.

Police say the Cash-Squatch entered a local Sunoco gas station early Friday morning. He then forced an employee into the restroom, demanding cash and cigarettes.

But video surveillance footage shows an interesting twist: the suspect was covered head to toe in vanilla scented trash bags. The man had even put the bags over his shoes.

After collecting his spoils, the Cash-Squatch ran east on Street Road toward Philmont Avenue.

The Lower Southampton Police are reaching out to see there have been any sightings of this mythical creature.

“If you know someone that appears to love smoking Newport cigarettes and all of a sudden seems to have an endless supply and smells really good, give us a call.”

Along with his trash bags, the suspect also had on an olive winter jacket, black sunglasses, and grey gloves. Police say he had a large build.
