What better way to be an active part of the community than to learn from those who patrol it?
On Wednesday, October third the Lower Southampton Police Department will host their annual Civilian Police Academy Program. This year marks the 18th time the Department will host the annual Academy.
The Academy consists of classes that run for 8 weeks from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and covers a wide variety of topics within the police department.
The department aims at teaching civilians important procedures of policing, force, criminal investigations, patrol practices, and a look into the Pennsylvania court systems.
Along with police activities, civilians will learn about the history of the police department, and meet with the personnel of the department.
