Bucks County students will all be returning to school in the next couple of days.

While some districts return before Labor Day weekend the final summer three-day weekend will be the last feeling of freedom before the 2017-2018 school year comes to a close for residents from Bristol Borough to Council Rock.

First Day of School:

Bristol Township School District: 

  • August 29 = Orientation day for grades 6,7 and 9 with a 12:05 early dismissal
  • August 30 = First day for all students

Pennsbury School District: 

  • August 30 = First day for grades 1-5, 6 and 9
    • Orientation session for parents/guardians of Group A kindergarten students
  • August 31 = Grades 1-12 and Group A kindergarten report to school
    • Orientation session for parents/guardians of Group B kindergarten students
  • September 1 = Group B kindergarten students report to school
  • September 5 = First day for all kindergarten students

Neshaminy School District: 

  • August 30 = First day for kindergarteners, grades 5 and 9
  • August 31 = First day for all other grades

Bensalem Township School District: 

  • August 28 = first day for grades 2 to 6, 8 and 10 to 12
  • August 29 = first day for kindergarteners, grades 1, 7 and 9
  • August 30 = All student K-12 report to school

Council Rock School District: 

  • August 31 = Orientation/Back to School for kindergarten
  • September 5 = First day for kindergarteners, grades 6, 7 and 9
  • September 6 = All students report to school

Bristol Borough School District: 

  • September 6 = First day for all students

On August 29, three Tawanka Elementary School students paid a visit to the WBCB 1490 AM. The trio, all brothers, discussed their summer vacation and the upcoming school year with Charlotte Reese during the 2 p.m. music hour.

The boys even had some back to school jokes to go along with the topic!
