Rep. DiGirolamo to Focus on Work Place 

The House Human Services Committee will hold a public hearing this week with different members from associations representing the care of people with disabilities as well as direct care professionals. The hearing, led by representatives Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks) and Angel Cruz (D-Philadelphia), is scheduled to begin at 9 A.M on Wednesday, December 6th in the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg.

The agenda includes workplace issues related to the medical treatment of people with disabilities, a video presentation, and the introduction of information from a study which demonstrates how Pennsylvania can save money by paying a living wage to direct care professionals.

The meeting is open to the public and will include members of the Human Services Committee along with other organizations related to the care of people with disabilities.

Rep. Watson heads House Hearing on Children and Divorce 

The House Children and Youth Committee, led by State Rep. Kathy Watson (R-144), holds an informational meeting in Harrisburg tomorrow about the psychological manipulation of a child by one parent in order to alienate the child from the other parent during and after a divorce.

The featured guest will be Dr. Craig Childress, a California psychologist and renowned expert on the parental alienation syndrome.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wed., Nov. 15, Room 60, East Wing, Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.
