Are you interested in selling some items around the house that somebody else could find more useful? Or maybe you’re more interested in finding good deals in the local area to add to your collection.
If you answered yes to either of these questions, then come on over to the flea market at the Levittown Public Library located on New Falls Road on Saturday, August 12 hosted by Friends of the Levittown Library.
The flea market will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside of the library. Inside the library, there will be a book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The book sale will include deals on a wide variety of genres from children’s books to cookbooks. The flea market will have different items that range from hand crafts to jewelry to household goods.
“We usually get a fairly good turnout,” said Rhoda Goldberg, a Friends of the Library Representative. “Our hope is that the rain holds out on Saturday so we can continue to get a decent number of people.”
Interested vendors should contact the Levittown Library Friends or visit their website to fill out a form, print it out, and bring it to the library along with a payment of $15. If vendors wait until the day of the flea market the price increases to $18.
The fee covers the total expenses of the flea market. All of the excess money will go to the library to cover whatever they need – be it upkeep, maintenance, or newer equipment/supplies.
Vendors must bring their own table, and are encouraged to show up around 7 a.m. on Saturday.
“We usually have our flea markets in April and October”, said Nancy Masulis, Friends President. “This August is a trial run to see how a summer flea market works out. We’re expecting about 30 to 40 people.”
The flea market is open to the public, all potential consumers are welcome and encouraged to make the trip to see what this flea market is all about.
The next flea market takes place on Saturday, October 21.
