Lanes will be closed on Route 1 southbound for six hours per day Monday through Friday this week.
The lanes will be closed between the Route 32 and Route 13 interchanges while construction crews work to install a concrete median barrier.
Work is weather-dependent, and construction of the $2.3 million federally funded project is expected to be finished this summer, according to PennDOT. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time to reach their destinations.
Once the work is completed, the project will give northbound travelers two lanes in addition to the Route 32 exit lane.
It will also add a concrete barrier between Route 1 north and the ramp from Route 13.
