Motorists should plan ahead for delays this month, as road work continues throughout Lower Bucks County, with overnight lane closures expected on Route 1 and weekday lane restrictions anticipated on Street Road.

The ongoing project on Route 1 is making visible progress at the Route 13/ Route 32 interchange, with the addition of a concrete barrier on Route 1 North at the Route 13 exit, as a means of preventing dangerous maneuvers over to the Route 32 exit.

As the Route 1 project continues, travelers can expect overnight lane restrictions from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM this week.

In Lower Southampton, PECO Energy will also be imposing weekday lane restrictions — on Street Road between Pennsylvania Boulevard and East View Road — due to a utility improvement project being completed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

According to PennDOT, closures on Street Road should be expected Tuesday, September 11, through Friday, October 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
