PennDOT has scheduled several lane closures in the Lower Bucks area for daytime and night time commuters. These projects are in addition to the work planned for Scudder Falls Bridge.
A project lasting at least through late September will begin on Bristol Pike this Monday, July 8. Workers will conduct roadway construction between Beaver Dam Road and Green Lane during both day and night, which will require lane closures. Every week day, weather permitting, crews will work on the 0.8 mile section from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., then again from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.
U.S. 1 and I-95
Beginning Tuesday, crews will be repairing guide rails on U.S. 1 and I-95 during the day shift from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This will require lane closures and should last through Friday.
- Northbound and southbound I-95 between the Street Road and Bristol interchanges in Bensalem and Bristol townships; and
- Southbound U.S. 1 between Pennsylvania Avenue and U.S. 13 in Falls Township.
In a separate assignment on Street Road in Lower Southampton, PECO will be conducting utility installations beginning this week. From Tuesday, July 9 through Friday, July, 19, motorists should expect daytime lane closures between Hoover Avenue and Eastview Avenue. These will last from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
Commuters using Street Road in Bensalem should also expect slight delays. On Wednesday and Thursday, PennDOT will be inspecting the bridge crossing the train tracks between Old Lincoln Highway and Reading Avenue. This should only require a single lane closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
