Coming on the heels of bridge inspections last week on I-95 in Bensalem last week, the daytime lane restrictions move to Bristol Pike (Route 13) for more examinations according to a PennDOT announcement made Friday. Not to be left out, I-95 and I-295 will face lane closures of their own.

The bridge inspections are part of PennDOT’s responsibility to check elevated roadways every two years for safety reasons. Road work and paving this week on I-95 and I-295 is one piece of the project to repair 13 miles of the highway throughout Lower Bucks County.

Due to the number of lane closures, a bulleted list is viewable below.

Bristol Pike Lane Closures

  • The right lane of Route 13 north between Bensalem Boulevard and Cedar Avenue in Bensalem and Bristol townships will be closed Thursday, Oct. 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • The right lane Route 13 south between Cedar Avenue and Bensalem Boulevard in Bensalem and Bristol townships will be closed Thursday, Oct. 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

I-95 and I-295 Lane Closures

•  I-95 north and I-295 east between the Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges will have double lane closures for paving and subbase installation on Monday, Oct. 15, through Friday, Oct. 19, from 7 p.m to 5 a.m.
•  I-295 west and I-95 south between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Route 132 (Street Road)  interchanges will have double lane closures for pavement joint repair on Wednesday, Oct. 17, through Friday, Oct. 19, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
