On the day of the event, NBC10 and Telemundo62 will be hosting their fifth annual “Clear the Shelters” drive. Nationally, it has helped 250,000 pets find their forever homes.

Founded in 1869, the Women’s Animal Center has claimed the title as the nation’s “America‚Äôs First Animal Shelter.” The shelter celebrated 150 years of dedication to pets this past April.

All adoptions at this will include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip in the waived adoption fee. Additionally, they will offer discounted services at the veterinary hospital.

There will be refreshments and family art activities. People should arrive early as the shelter is expecting a large turnout.
