On Wednesday, Jan. 24, the Feasterville Business Association will present $14,500 to 13 community and service organizations in the Bucks County area. Rick Tyrrell, President of the FBA, will join Ed Shannon, chairman of the 2017 FBA charity golf outing at the Lower Southampton Township Board of Supervisors’ meeting to hand out the grant money.
The organizations chosen are as follows:
- A Women’s Place
- The Network of Victim’s Assitance
- The Sunshine Foundation
- The American Red Cross
- The Friends of Lower Southampton Township Library
- Debbie’s Friends
- The Neshaminy Activities Center
- The Lower Southampton Athletic Association
- Special Equestrians
- The Playwicki Farm Foundation
- The Council of SEPA on Alcohol and Drug Dependence
The community grants were made possible through the FBA and the 27th annual golf event. The outing raises funds for college scholarships for area high school seniors, holiday gift baskets for families in need, and the annual Easter EggHunt.
Through the years, the golf event has raised more than $260,000 for charitable and communal endeavors.
The FBA is in its 69th year, and holds a mission to “foster and encourage growth and progress for the betterment of the community.” You can visit the FBA on the web at www.feasterville.biz.
