UPDATED: Fatal Crash Near Oxford Valley Elementary Closes Trenton Road

Update: The Falls Township Police have identified the victim in a fatal crash Thursday morning on Trenton Road.

Authorities say Levittown resident Charles Cocchiaro, 79, was driving northbound in his 1995 Jaguar convertible. At about 9 a.m., he veered onto the shoulder across from Elmwood Road and hit a parked Nissan Altima.

The Jaguar ended up in the front yard of a home and police found Cocchiaro unresponsive. First responders could not revive him.

Someone was inside the parked Nissan at the time of the crash, but police say their injuries are non-life threatening.

This is the second fatal instance within the last month of an elderly driver hitting a parked car in Falls.

A motorist is dead after a fatal crash on Trenton Road Thursday morning.

The Falls Township Police blocked off the area near Oxford Valley Elementary School from Canterbury Road through Trenton Circle.

It appears a white convertible collided with the rear end of a black Nissan Altima at the intersection with Elmwood Road

An officer at the scene says they received the call about the crash at about 9 a.m. and the area is still blocked off as of 11 O’clock.

Police have not yet revealed the identity or any details of anyone involved. Detectives are still investigating how the crash occurred.
