State Reps. Frank Farry and Gene DiGirolamo are inviting their constituents to free shred events at their respective offices Saturday, May 4.
With tax season over, many people may look to safely dispose of documents with valuable information. Free shredding events allow people to destroy documents with Social Security numbers, medical info, bank account numbers, and miscellaneous details.
Farry will welcome residents within his district to his local Langhorne office located at 370 East Maple Ave., Suite 203 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each person can bring up to two boxes of papers, but the shredders will not accommodate businesses. The event will continue rain or shine.
DiGirolamo will begin the shredding at 9 a.m. and cease operations at noon. Residents can bring their documents to 2424 Bristol Road, Bensalem. The shredding company cannot properly process books, magazines, binders or spiral-bound formats. No businesses.
