Falls Township is inviting residents to attend this free chance to get rid of appliances residents don’t use. This event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, October 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at 1000 New Ford Mill Road in Falls Township for anyone who wants to get rid of some unwanted bulk. The location is more commonly known as the GROWS Landfill behind Waste Management’s Turkey Hill Office.

There are some exceptions, however. There are items that can not be accepted, which includes liquids, oil, paint, car batteries, propane tanks, gas cylinders, hazardous household wastes, tires, chemicals, pesticides and spray cans.

Household appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners or freezers are not allowed to be dumped. No electronics of any kind are permitted as well, such as TV’s, computer equipment, stereo equipment, or any other electrical item that plugs in or operates on batteries.

Bucks County has Household Hazardous Waste collections throughout the year for certain items that may appear on the no-go list. For more details on the Household Hazardous Waste collections, people can call 215-345-3400, and for more information residents can also call 1-800-869-5566.

This bulk disposal program is for homeowners of Falls Township and Tullytown Borough only, and proof of residency is required. The event is not intended for commercial customers or contractors.
