Police have made an arrest after a bizarre incident last week involving a man allegedly shooting himself in the hand.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Anders Drive to reports of shots fired in Pennwood Crossing. They found Keith Dorian, 48, with a gunshot wound to his hand. He told police he had been shot on Bristol Pike.
“The male was transported by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital for care and is expected to survive,” said Lt. Nelson Whitney in a press release last Thursday.
The investigation continued, and detectives came to a different conclusion than Dorian’s story. The Falls Township Police now claim the man shot himself in the hand. With Dorian recovering from his injuries, authorities have pressed charges.
Dorian has a previous felony conviction which makes it illegal for him to possess or use a firearm. He is also charged with endangering another person.
Judge Michael Gallagher set bail at 10% of $75,000, and Schultz is not being held.
