Two men suffered injuries when a tree fell on top of them Tuesday afternoon in Bristol Borough.
At around 1:40 p.m., first responders raced to the scene at Plum Street. They found both victims trapped beneath the tree, which had fallen behind the Ancient Order of Hibernians building.
The Bristol Borough Fire Department cut back branches, eventually freeing the men. They were ages 59 and 43.
Heavy winds consistently at around 30 miles per hour hit the Lower Bucks area Tuesday.
Local police said the Bucks County Rescue Squad transported both men to Lower Bucks Hospital. The Bristol Township Police were also on scene to assist.
