Edgewood Elementary School is opening its doors to an ailing community.
Pennsbury School District personnel are providing two day counseling sessions following the tragic passing of Kayden Mancuso, a 7-year-old incoming second-grader.
The sessions are taking place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
According to the Pennsbury School District’s Communication office: “personnel such as counselors, psychologists, social workers, and administrators will provide a variety of counseling services and assistance to students and parents who elect to visit the school.”
In addition to the two-day counseling sessions, ample supports will be available to students throughout the upcoming school year.
The Pennsbury School District also expressed a shared sorrow in the wake of Mancuso’s passing. “The School Board and administrations share the grief and sorrow brought on by this tragic event,” the Pennsbury School District’s Communication office said.
“Our supportive community stands in unison as we all express our deepest condolences to Kayden’s family.”
For those in need of immediate support, a resource page for grief counseling has been set up on Pennsbury’s website at www.pennsburysd.org.
