Right to Become will be hosting a “Christian Concert and Dessert” fundraiser for Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN) Friday, Dec. 15.

Courtney Rains Loo, the lead singer of Right to Become, was on Yardley Borough’s Mayor Chris Harding’s WBCB 1490 show Yardley On-Air Wednesday afternoon to discuss the upcoming benefit and more.

WBCB 1490 AM story:

Loo has seen the Broadway stage in Cats and worked as a stunt double for various actors and films including Macauley Culkin in movies such as Getting Even with Dad.

The Roxborough native enjoyed the limelight of performing but told Harding she wasn’t whole until her mother and sister helped her find Jesus through Christianity. Loo’s last Hollywood gig was as a stand-in on the set of Full House for, “mainly Jodie Sweetin.”

Loo moved back to the east coast and found her way into the Christian music scene. The band Right to Become currently consists of Loo, three brothers Dan, Kevin and Ryan Secor, and Jeff Shaffer.

They will be performing at Grace Point Church on 592 Washington Crossing Road in Newtown on Friday. The “Christian Concert and Dessert” will start with dessert at 7 p.m. and include live music, AHTN speakers, and raffle baskets.

One basket courtesy Mayor Harding with plenty of “Yardley Borough favorites” included.

The theme of the evening ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside, Think of the Homeless.’ Tickets are $10 at the door or online at www.ahtn.org/home/concertrsvp/.
