Night time lane restrictions are expected on a quarter mile section of Bustleton Pike in Lower Southampton from today, September 25th, until October 12th from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. each evening.

PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Ayanna Williams says there’s a good reason work on a short piece of road could take so long.

“They account for missed days due to weather. All operations are weather dependent and a day like today would be a wash,” Williams explained. “They add in extra days to give themselves time to complete the work without having to say ‘we have to go back out there.'”

Flagging will take place as crews repave from the stretch from Burlington Pike to Street Road. Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays.

The milling and paving operations are just one small part of a $12 million project to resurface 44 miles of highway in Bucks County, with all costs covered by federal funding.
