The rate of new coronavirus cases in Bucks County seems to have leveled off this September with an average of about 33 positives per day over the past week.

This trend means the county will likely hit 8,000 confirmed total cases sometime Tuesday.

Right now, the largest source of transmission is from one member of a household to another. Community spread remains low.

Meantime, hospitalizations have continued to slowly increase. There were just three people hospitalized in Bucks earlier this month, now there are nine.

A 64-year-old man passed away last week for the county’s 525th death.

Most cases are still concentrated in Lower Bucks County. Several municipalities in Upper Bucks have zero active confirmed cases.

Meantime, 7,063 people have made full recoveries from the virus as of Monday night.
