Freezing temperatures over the next few days will make it unsafe for anyone to stay outside overnight. Bucks County has declared a Code Blue to open temporary shelters for the most vulnerable.

Current forecasts for the region show temperatures reaching the mid-teens Monday and Tuesday nights. The Code Blue lasts through Wednesday.

However, winds are expected to stay at or above 10 mph. This could bring the wind chill down to 5 degrees.

For Lower Bucks, Woodside Church in Yardley will be opening its doors at 8:30 p.m. for people who need a safe place. The church is located at 1667 Edgewood Road.

Advocates for Homeless and Those in Need helps to operate the shelters, providing transportation and other assistance.
