One and a half miles of Bristol Road will be closing next week as PennDOT crews work on pipe replacement.

A red line marks the Bristol Road closure next week, while a blue line marks the recommended detour.

The closure is between Brownsville Road and Neshaminy Boulevard. It will last from Monday, November 16th through Friday Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During this closure, motorists will need to take a fairly wide detour out to Street Road. This could add 5 to 10 minutes to a drive depending on traffic.

Even after 3 p.m. on these days, part of the detour will still be in place as a smaller section of Bristol Road is already closed for the next six months. Crews demolished the bridge over Route 1 this past weekend as part of a larger project in the area.
