The Upper Southampton Township Police Department is searching for James William Gregory III, 28, who allegedly robbed two convenience stores within the last week.
On August 16 around 4:30 a.m. Gregory entered a 7-11 store on the 900 block of Street Road with a clear purpose. He forced the sole employee working to open the register so he could remove the cash from the drawer into a black bag. Gregory then stole several packs of Newport brand cigarettes before leaving on foot.
A few days later, on August 20 around 5:30 p.m. Gregory struck a Philly Soft Pretzel Factory on the 500 block of Second Street Pike. He demanded the two employees hand over the cash from the register as he held a green handled knife. He fled on foot towards the Our Lady of Good Counsel School after taking the tip jar as well.
The Upper Southampton Police issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday and are asking the public’s help in locating the 28-year-old. Judge William Benz has charged Gregory with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.
