UPDATE: Governor Tom Wolf mandated late Sunday all restaurants and bars must suspend their dine-in services for 14 days. Only take-out, delivery, and drive-through services are allowed.

WBCB 1490 is offering a comprehensive, community driven list of closures and cancellations in Bucks due to coronavirus here.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is conducting a phased closure of all Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores early this week due to the coronavirus.

All but two stores will not reopen after closing Sunday evening. Then, the rest will be closed by Tuesday.

In Lower Bucks, only the following locations will be open Monday. They will close at 9 p.m.

  • Feasterville – 8558 Pennsylvania Blvd.
  • Newtown – 212 S. State St.

But private entities are still serving customers. The Continental Tavern in Yardley is open for its normal hours.

John tends to the bar for patrons at the Continental Tavern.

Leah, a manager with the Continental Tavern, handles ordering alcohol from the PLCB. She doesn’t expect the store closures to impact their supply.

The tavern is also instituting a policy to keep six feet of space between every table.

Private liquor stores are also still operating. Pat Deon Beverages, the Puss N Boots Tavern takeout store, and Cold Spring Beverages in Newtown are staying open and following all safety protocols.

Another option is online ordering. Pennsylvania residents can have their choice spirits and wines shipped directly to their door if they order on the Fine Wine and Good Spirits website here.

“The PLCB also reinforced with FW&GS store employees enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures to ensure retail environments are as sanitary as possible,” said a statement from the PLCB.

The mandate also applies to all Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

After two weeks of closure, the PLCB will consider reopening depending on the circumstances.
