Three suspects from Virginia are now in custody after trying to sell more than $840,000 in heroin and crystal meth thanks to a Bucks County Detective Sting operation. Officials made the arrest in Middletown last Wednesday, Jan. 30 thanks to an insider operative.
An affidavit of probable cause states the trio showed up to the Country Club Apartments to meet with a cooperating source. They allegedly had 2.5 kilograms of heroin and 1 pound of crystal meth with plans to sell it. The heroin alone was worth approximately $800,000.
Once they completed their deal, police swarmed the building and arrested the three suspects. Police have identified them as Jose Alfredo Castro, 22, of Alexandria; Martin Alberto Vitela, 24, of Alexandria, and Fabian Rodriguez Sandoval, 26, of Stafford.
Prosecutors have charged them each with felony of counts of possession with intent to deliver. District Judge Daniel Baranoski set bail at 10 percent of $1 million.
