3 Lower Bucks Men Arrested For Destroying Police Vehicles in Philly Protests, DA Says

Three men from Lower Bucks are facing charges for allegedly taking part in the destruction of two State Police SUVs during protests in Philadelphia on May 30th.

Levittown residents Luke Cossman, 20, and Steven Anderson, 20, are in custody along with a 17-year-old from Croydon.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s office says a large group of protesters gathered near Vine Street and Broad Street at around 3:45 p.m.

State Police troopers responded to reports of the gathering. Shortly thereafter, the group turned violent.

Using a hammers, bike lock, and other heavy objects, they attacked two PA State Police SUVs. Members of the group also spray painted the vehicles and stole equipment from inside them.

“I fully support peaceful protest,” DA Matt Weintraub said, “but we will not tolerate lawlessness resulting in destruction of property, and theft from that property, in any form.”

Other men charged with vandalizing the vehicles include:

  • Sammy Rivera, of Philadelphia;
  • Francisco A. Reyes, of Philadelphia;
  • William J. Besaw, 21, of Souderton.
